Some dining room chairs were donated to me recently. They had been sitting in storage for quite some time, so they needed some wood glue for stabilization and the seats definitely needed to be reupholstered. This is what they looked like:
After taking the seats off and removing the old fabric and padding, I proceeded to add new 2 inch thick high density foam. Then I used some damask fabric to cover the seats. I used a staple gun to staple the new fabric to the the seats! Now they look like this:
I had a few large scrap pieces of fabric left, so I made matching place mats as well. They came out so awesome. I love mixing different prints together.
